A SUMMER OF LOVE
with CountryJoeMcDonald
The Summer of Love was a social movement that occurred during the summer of 1967. As many as 100,000 people, mostly young people sporting hippie fashions of dress and behavior, converged in San Francisco’s neighborhood of Haight-Ashbury. The musician and sing&song writer Country Joe McDonald was a part of that movement. With his performance of I-Feel-Like-I am-Fixin´-to Die rag at the Woodstock festival he made history. Let´s meet Country Joe and hear about why ”The summer of Love” was such a ground breaking moment in time.
